Born in Queens, NY Allen Benatar has been a dedicated drummer and live performer for as long as he can remember. Allen was always obsessed with Music and loved playing the Piano & Guitar but always had a special Passion for the Drums.
At the age of thirteen, with an unspeakable amount of dedication, Allen finally got the five piece Pearl Export Series drum kit that he had been dreaming about. As a young child, Allen always knew he would grow up to be the passionate musician he is today.
"The energy that runs through my body when I pick up a pair of sticks is unreal. The stage is my home, playing in front of people is euphoric. It's what I live for.. At that moment, nothing else matters."
Six months after the end of TTD, after vigorous searching and trying out different guitarists, Allen met (via Myspace) Felipe Roa & Chris Leblanc, 2 musicians from Boston Massachusetts who would then form "ACARO". It wasn't long before the guys were writing killer material and were able to solidify a bassist & Vocalist. Within 6 months of traveling by bus and driving from N.Y. to Boston every weekend for practice, Allen made the move to Boston, MA with his new roommate/guitarist Felipe to make his long life dream a reality. After 1 year and by only their third live performance together, the band was opening for National Metal acts such as "Lamb Of God", "In Flames", "All That Remains" & "Unearth".
After playing with ACARO for two successful years, Allen decided it was time for him to expand his musical spectrum and pursue other opportunities leaning more toward "Commercial Music" & Acting.
Allen's contributions to every group he has joined the stage with are remarkable. He is able to manipulate his set in ways that no one has dared to try. Blessed with a rare ability to intuitively compute measures of time and beat, Allen's artful competitive edge is endless.
Always ahead of his game, Allen's unique drumming style entails extremely fast and coordinated drum patterns that are recognized by many of his fans. His highly technical circular double-bass patterns and his off-time signature beats are extraordinarily uncommon. Allen continues to tour around the country and his impressive custom DW Lavender Lacquer drum kit doesn't leave his side.
Allen's internal fire burns solely for the desire to be the perpetual cutting-edge of the entertainment industry. His talents and contributions have endless Possibilities and his desire to learn and grow are extremely admirable. Allen currently resides in Los Angeles, CA & continues to make his dream a reality, as a professional Musician and Successful Actor in today's exploding Entertainment industry.
